Flash Facts
Respondents need to have a Flash player installed onto their computer to view the survey tools. Recent survey data from Research Now in the UK shows that the majority (97%) of the panellists polled had Flash-enabled settings on their computers.
Beyond the standard toolkit…
The standard toolkit is only a snapshot of the full range of Flash capabilities Research Now offers to clients. The toolkit has been designed for a quick and easy application of core Flash capabilities into some of your more standard surveys, but we love a challenge and have the in-house programming team to build custom-made Flash solutions to meet particular requirements.
We are more than happy to talk through or demonstrate some of our more advanced applications should you require a more customised approach – Contact us
Overview
Online research is now a widely accepted and extensively used survey methodology. With this maturity, one of the challenges faced by the online research community is how to keep respondents engaged with online surveys. Engagement is essential for maintaining healthy response rates and ensuring survey participation is a positive experience.
One way of achieving this is through the use of digital interactive media, or “rich media”. “Flash” is a rich media application that can be programmed within online surveys. Flash has the capability to produce more stimulating online content, making surveys more visually attractive and interactive for respondents.
Not only does Flash create a more dynamic survey experience, but it also provides the opportunity for researchers to be more innovative with how they collect data. This enhances the value of the research they are conducting.
The Research Now Flash Toolkit
In the past, adding more complex programming such as Flash to surveys was cost and time-intensive. Research Now’s innovative approach to using Flash has been to productionise standard Flash programming so these can be “taken off the shelf” and inserted into surveys for no additional time or cost. Working within the standard parameters, up to 40% of your survey (to a maximum of 20 questions) can be Flash-enabled. Falsh gives your surveys on immediate boost to impress your clients and respondents alike.
