Mobile Surveys
Recent advances in mobile phone technology have provided consumers with access to the internet 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. The launch of web-enabled phones, and the growth of the web-enabled handset market, have provided unprecedented access to a range of internet-enabled products and services. Never before have consumers had access to such a rich stream of information, e-mail services, entertainment and social networking. This has also provided an unprecedented opportunity for marketers and brand managers to tap into the consumer on-the-go.
Whether it is through quick polls using SMS, online surveys using mobile internet connections or by downloading dedicated survey applications to mobile phones, the latest technologies have provided an innovative way of engaging directly with respondents in real-time.
How do Mobile Surveys work?
Application-based Mobile Surveys
Utilise the same technologies as online and mobile gaming products. They are used to create a stimulating and interactive mobile survey environment. Potential survey participants (e.g people on an online panel) are invited to download a mobile survey application to their phone. Once they have installed the application, panellists can download and respond to projects on their phone. Studies can be followed up with further online surveys if needed and data combined for analysis.
SMS Surveys
Questions are sent to respondents via text message. Answers are sent back via text message.
Mobile internet Surveys
Surveys are accessed and completed by respondents via the internet browser on their phone (either WAP 2.0, GPRS or 3G enabled).
